“We are big believers in prioritizing experiences over material possessions and we even vowed to each other when we got married that we would always travel to a few new places a year. As our one-year anniversary approached, we began researching places we would like to experience and quickly settled on Jackson Hole for its iconic scenery and all that it had to offer. Cody, the thrill seeker, had always wanted to ski out west, and I, a promising historian, was attracted to learning more about its rich Native American culture, westward migration and religious implications of that movement. While we left with a deeper understanding of Jackson Hole’s past, we also enjoyed skiing at Snow King Mountain, an exquisite culinary experience at the Westbank Grill at the Four Seasons and visiting the shops in the Town Square (my hat in these pictures was purchased from Onyx and Antler). Getting married means starting new traditions. So, we decided that every anniversary, we will travel to one new place and have our pictures taken. When we are old and gray, we can look back and marvel at the life we lived all over the world. These pictures captured by
Madison Webb not only reflect how stunning Wyoming really is, but also represent the beginning of a new life together. And for that, Jackson Hole will always have a special place in our hearts!”
