Located just north of Fort Collins, Colorado, Rist Canyon Inn is a 120 year-old farmhouse set among old growth trees, lush golden pastures, and a glistening creek. The venue is picture-perfect with all of the natural backdrops for your wedding portraits, and it also has multiple venue spaces full of character and charm for all of your dining, dancing, and dream-wedding vibes. The venue started out as the owners’ family home – but they felt that the history and natural beauty of the property should be shared. Bellvue Event Hall on-site was designed around vintage glass doors, antiques and original art found around the country, and of course, the Rocky Mountains themselves. Keep reading to find out why we love this historic venue for Rocky Mountain weddings, and see just how gorgeous it is from these photos of a real wedding we loved!
Crafted as an art piece, Bellvue Event Hall is an 1,865 square foot reception space that can hold up to 100 guests. Celebrations are also held on the patio, a granite deck, and one of many courtyards outside. The hall has expansive windows that overlook courtyards, trellised patios, and rental includes your choice of round or banquet tables!
The Ceremony Pasture is an 8-acre pasture with breathtaking mountain views that give a romantic backdrop for an unforgettable and picturesque wedding ceremony. The pasture contains handmade wooden benches for 100 of your favorite people to watch you tie the knot.
This lovingly-restored 1896 farmhouse serves as the master getting-ready suite for events and gives Rist Canyon an even more quaint, cozy feel. The living & dining rooms are bathed in natural light from the large windows that show off mountain views, a full kitchen is included, curated antiques decorate the space, and a large patio outside adds more space for you and your wedding party to hang out before the ceremony. You can even rent the suite to stay in overnight as well – it holds up to 10 guests so it could be perfect for your wedding party or immediate family on the night of the wedding!
Another space to enjoy day-of or overnight, The Cabin Suite has tranquil views of the pasture, creek and Front Range mountains.
While we love the entire venue and all of it’s magic & charm, the horses on-site take the (wedding) cake for us. These sweet creatures are ready to be fed fresh carrots, take photos with you, and greet your guests when they arrive! The horses make everything even more memorable for you and your guests, and make for the cutest additions to your photo album.
