Favorite Hotels in Bali
With my travel company The Asia Collective I’m blessed to experience many exceptional hotels, so it’s hard to pick my favorites as Bali has so many amazing properties to offer! On our last trip these 3 properties blew us away:
1. The first was the Raffles Hotel Bali in Jimbaran. This iconic heritage brand that we know well from Singapore is relatively new in Bali and is known for their exceptional quality and service. The private villa with a pool overlooking the ocean was truly breathtaking, and the attention to detail throughout the property was impressive. From your private butler to a bathtub pillow, you dream it and Raffles will deliver!
2. Another favorite of ours was Casa Viamo, a stunning villa located in hip Canggu. As someone who appreciates interior design and aesthetics, this place was an absolute dream come true. The villa was incredibly photogenic and definitely one of the most Instagrammable spots we’ve ever stayed at. This is also where we met the lovely Jo and Glo and we spontaneously did a shoot with them. We had so much fun with these two, a lot of wine and a pool session in the rain included! So thankful for these wonderful memories!
3. The highlight of our trip was staying at Noku Beach House, a stunning 6 bedroom villa in Seminyak that we rented with some friends. When we walked in, we were absolutely blown away – the place was even more beautiful than we had imagined. No surprise that it was featured on Netflix’s ‘The Most Stunning Vacation Rentals in the World.’! The beachfront location was breathtaking, and every detail of the villa was luxurious and meticulously designed. We had our own private chef who spoiled us with incredible food – one of our favorite meals was a delicious seafood dinner by the beach under the starry sky.
Must Eat at Restaurants
2. Skool Kitchen – a romantic yet trendy place with an open-flame kitchen and a modern menu where every dish touches fire. We love sitting outside on the balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean.
What to do in Bali
Even though we’ve been to Bali many times, we still always find ourselves with a bit of “Freizeitstress” (my favorite German word roughly translated into „leisure stress“) – the stress of trying to fit in all of the amazing things that Bali has to offer! While we don’t do much of the typical sightseeing anymore, we still love to explore the island’s incredible food scene, relax with massages, and enjoy some of the trendy beach clubs and bars.
Our typical day in Bali usually starts with hunting down the best breakfast spots – there are so many great options to choose from! After breakfast, we like to unwind with a massage – Bali is famous for its spa culture, and it is so affordable too.
In the afternoon, we’ll usually head to one of the trendy beach clubs for some sun and cocktails. As the sun starts to set, we’ll usually grab a sundowner and enjoy the incredible views before heading to one of the amazing restaurants for dinner.
Bali is truly an amazing destination with something for everyone. From world-class surfing and yoga to culture, relaxation and nightlife, Bali has it all!
