Wyoming Engagement

The Couple

Allie + Adam

Adam planned a weekend camping trip to the Red Desert in southwestern Wyoming. He wanted to show Allie one of his favorite places in the West. After driving very, very far off the beaten path, they set up camp at the top of a giant rim with rugged canyons below them and the desert around them beginning to green up with spring rain. The next afternoon, Adam, Allie, and their two dogs Norma and Echo, hiked down from the rim to explore the canyons and dried river bed below. Allie began to spot some delicate flowers beginning to bloom so Adam sent her off to look for more. He called her back to look at something really special, what she saw was a beautiful sparkly ring sticking up out of the sandy ground! Some words were said, there may have been tears, and then Adam placed his grandmother’s ring on Allie’s finger. Norma and Echo ran over to see what the fuss was about and everyone rolled around in the dirt for a while, faces shining with happiness. Back up at the campsite, Adam built a roaring fire and cooked Allie a delicious steak dinner. Then he brought out a bottle of her favorite bubbly that he had stashed for the occasion and they toasted under the stars.
