And, when we say bridal party, we truly mean everyone in the wedding party! So, get ready for a weekend of thrill and adventure with your guys and gals for a coed fling before the ring! Follow along as we share the inside scoop on this breathtaking outdoor experience through The Lodge at Blue Sky.

Accommodations

The Lodge at Blue Sky

The Lodge at Blue Sky is surrounded by stunning mountain views and is the perfect place for a coed bachelor and bachelorette party because of its connection to nature and luxury. You can plan for the adventure of a lifetime with your closest friends while hiking, eating, drinking and so much more on their 3,500-acre ranch.

The three accommodation options for your bridal party are all designed to mirror the majesty of the land. You can choose to stay in suites in the main lodge, rent out a few suites in the Earth House a hop and a skip away from the main lodge, or rent a Creek House for more seclusion. Suites in the main lodge range from two bedrooms to one-bedroom king sized suites. If you’re looking for more of a relaxed hotel feel, then opt for renting out a few suites in the main lodge. Ask for conjoined rooms for more of a sleepover effect! Or, if you want this coed fling before the ring party to still have some separation between men and women, you can choose to split up the rooms. The options are endless!

The Earth House, nestled into the hillside, offers suites of all sizes for your guests. Each suite in the Earth House has a private terrace and the option to connect rooms, which makes it the perfect option for larger parties. The Earth House truly has an incredible view of the mountains and Alexander Canyon. Its breathtaking views are enough to make you never want to leave the property.

The Creek Houses are the most private of the accommodation options. You can even rent out the entire one-bedroom house for a more secluded couples retreat. This is the best option for you and your spouse-to-be if you want some alone time during your weekend. If you’re not looking to spend alone time with your future wife or husband (that’s what the honeymoon is for, after all!), rent out one house for the bachelors and one house for the bachelorettes of the weekends. What’s a weekend of bonding without having to share some beds?

Day One

Take a Hike

Kick-off the weekend as a group! Take a hike (literally) with all of your closest friends! Enjoy a variety of hikes offered by The Lodge at Blue Sky: guided, self-guided and even heli-hiking. These hikes span over the 3,500-acre property and will not disappoint when it comes to incredible panoramic views, mountain streams, and dramatic peaks. All hikes are meant to accommodate larger groups, so call ahead to make sure you reserve the perfect hike for your friends.

Our favorite option is heli-hiking, an incredible experience and time outdoors? What’s not to love!

What’s heli-hiking? This once in a lifetime adventure allows up to 10 guests to take a helicopter ride to explore the remote alpine terrain in Utah’s Uintas mountain range. While exploring, you’ll see an abundance of wildlife, birds, and wildflowers. So, don’t forget your camera! Mid-hike you’ll be able to relax and enjoy the endless horizon while indulging in a rustic picnic lunch. Trust us, this is a must-have on your itinerary!

Indulge at a Private Dinner in the Yurt

The Lodge at Blue Sky’s Yurt is the perfect place for a private dinner with your closest friends. Their food is found throughout the property, so you know what you’re eating is truly farm to table fresh. It’s intimate atmosphere and dinner by a private chef has us swooning already thinking about the beautiful memories that will be made.

Drinks at The Bar

End the night with a nightcap at The Bar in the main lodge. The Lodge at Blue Sky is known for their whiskey, so sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious sips with friends. Make sure your trip is on a weekend so you and your friends can enjoy some live music, too!

Day Two

Brunch with the group

This is where the real fun begins: private bachelor and bachelorette parties! The Lodge at Blue Sky creates an entire itinerary for your day. Begin your day eating a locally sourced meal while the staff goes over the itinerary with you to make sure everyone is briefed over the day’s activities.

The Ladies’ Day of Activities

The ladies will start with a guided hike, identifying local flora, edible mushrooms, berries and other plant life. This hike leads to a shaded grove for “an elemental floating yoga experience.” Your fun doesn’t end there because you’ll have the option of a fresh juice bar that serves refreshing recovery drinks.

This is the perfect activity for matching tank tops!

The Gent’s Day of Activities

While the gals are our exploring the land, the men will have just as much fun while they enjoy a sporting clay adventure. This friendly competition leads to the Yurt for High West whiskey tasting and light snacks.

Matching tanks might not be for the boys, but custom hats are a great gift for your guys!

Get Messy in the Kitchen with a Cooking Class

The night is just beginning when you reunite at Gracie’s Garden to pick fresh ingredients from the property garden for a cooking class. Learn to cook from the best and enjoy some quality time with your friends making delicious food!

Wine and Dine Together

The planned activities end for the day at the Signature Wine Room for a private dinner made specifically for you and your friends. Share stories and reminisce on the day’s adventures with the ones who love you the most!

Day Three

Brunch at The Refectory

End your weekend with a relaxing or boozy brunch at The Refectory. It’s located in the High West Distillery, located on The Lodge at Blue Sky’s property. They reserve Sunday mornings specifically for brunch, so you know you’ll be getting the best brunch options. We’re hungry just thinking about it!

This coed fling before the ring party is meant to include everyone in your bridal party in pre-wedding festivities. Our dream is that both you and your spouse-to-be will feel loved and celebrated the entire weekend with all of your closest friends!

Find more information and activities offered by The Lodge at Blue Sky on their website here.

The resort offers a variety of activities! If you have an extra day, we highly recommend tacking one on to squeeze in more fun! From yoga and the spa to horseback riding, fly fishing, and biking, there is truly something for every group!
