Love Story

They say you meet your soulmate before your twenty-one. This was the case for Shawn and I. We walked the halls of the same high school and even had classes together. Still, we never really got to know each other back then. Fate had different plans for us. We were brought together again when I ended u on an intramural soccer team with a friend of Shawn’s. I saw him around a few times. But once we got to talking, that was it. We hit it off immediately. It was just so easy to fall for each other. It was like something just clicked, and we didn’t even need to try. From the very first conversation, there was this undeniable spark that is hard to put into words. I knew us being together would give love a new definition. That same week we went on our first date. The rest is history.

To celebrate our third anniversary, Shawn and I planned a romantic getaway to the U.S. Virgin Islands where we stayed at an amazing St. Thomas resort. The trip was filled with snorkeling and kayaking crystal clear waters and hikes through scenic cliffs and trails. I was so excited to be waking up with the love of y life every day to go on a different adventure. Little did I know the surprise that was in store. On our very first morning there, we went on a walk down to the most breathtaking beach. Shawn surprised me by getting down on one knee and taking out a diamond ring. There was no doubt in my mind that I was standing right where I wanted to be, looking into the eyes of the love of my life. We both knew our lives would be changed forever in the best way. I still cannot believe I get to call this man my husband soon. He is my sun, moon and all my stars. We are both meant to be.
