Their Love Story
It all began about 7 years ago at NMSU. Andrew was an engineering student and a frat boy in Kappa Sigma and Liz was a nursing student who enjoyed a good frat party. It was at one of these parties that they met. But this isn't where their story really began. In the fall of 2009, Andrew and Liz went on a lake trip and danced the night away on the beach. Ever since that night they always had an eye for each other. They both attended NMSU for the next four years making amazing memories and falling in love. In December of 2012, they graduated with their Bachelor degrees. They lived together with their dog Bernie in Las Cruces for about two years and then moved back to their hometown of Albuquerque. Fast forward to January 15, 2016, in New Haven, CT where Andrew got down on one knee and proposed to Liz with her family there to witness it! The rest of the story is yet to be written :)
How he proposed
**The proposal was perfect! Andrew somehow coordinated with Liz's brother, Joe, and her sister-in-law, Natalie, in CT. They planned the most magical proposal. **
On January 15, 2016, we all went to a beach with a beautiful lighthouse in New Haven, CT. I thought it was just a normal sightseeing adventure with the family. We played on the beach a little and walked around. There was a 'park ranger' there in the lighthouse who asked if we wanted to go up inside to the top. He said that only two at a time could go up, so Andrew and I went first somehow. Once we were up at the top Andrew passed me the binoculars and told me to look around. While I was looking around he gave his 'signal' to my brother down on the beach. Andrew then told me to look down at my family. When I looked at them through my binoculars Joe, Natalie, Mia, and Baby Joe each had a sign and together it read, "Will You Marry Me?" It took me a second to really realize what I was seeing and put it all together. I turned around to look at Andrew and he was down on one knee with the ring in his hand. The sweetest man proposed to me in the sweetest way and I said, "Yes, duh!" ð' I felt like a princess up in the lighthouse getting saved by my Prince Charming! I cried like a baby from pure happiness and then after a while my family came up to congratulate us. Andrew definitely did good and I cannot wait to marry him!
