With the evening sun streaming through the majestic Grand Tetons, our couple connects with the earth, and each other. This was our inspiration, a modern romance, set apart by a story set in the stunning landscape of Grand Teton National Park. Using simple yet modern details, this styled shoot was created to reflect the beauty of our natural surroundings. Wide open vistas frame the ceremony site, as the sun peeks through the storm clouds. Using sage, wildflowers, natural fibers, and a magical aspen grove as the backdrop for our dinner, the scene is set for a romantic, modern, magical, and thoroughly unforgettable evening.
They say it takes a village, and this styled shoot was no different, with our dream team of local and out of state vendors. The venue, Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis, provided the stunning backdrop, along with hand-crafted appetizers sourced with local ingredients, including edible flowers grown in their very own green house.
California-based photographer Taryn Holland of Great Woodland Photography was the inspiration for the shoot, as well as the master behind the camera, and all of the local details were coordinated and put together by Ashley Watson of Wild Rose – Earth-friendly Weddings and Events.
Flowers by Chloe put together our stunning florals using locally-grown flowers, and her signature style of airy, lush, natural arrangements. Local flowers and grasses were sourced for this shoot; yarrow, native grasses, sagebrush, nigella and artemisia. Chloe wanted the floral design to reflect the Jackson landscape, dusty, Rustic, rugged and wild, while feeling elegant and wedding worthy.
Brides are often looking for green and white floral decor, and she wanted to offer a fresh concept on the classic white and green wedding that felt natural in our rugged landscape here in Jackson. I used a soft feminine color palette of whites and silver blue/greens and lots of texture.
Our gorgeous marble and gold detailed cake was baked with home-grown lavender and champagne by Lindsey, of Lady in the Wild West, and accented with branches wild sage.
The models were wearing timeless yet affordable pieces. Our bride wore a stunning lace dress from Lulu’s, a gorgeous low profile crown from Untamed Petals, and a beautiful light pink Ombre veil from the California based veil designer, The Veiled Beauty. Our groom wore a combination of pieces from, Macy’s, H&M, and Nordstrom’s. Our one of a kind jewelry was provided by Erin Fader Jewelry and selected to reflect the blues and greens of our landscape. The bride’s effortlessly chic hair and make-up was done by Tanya Crocker.
Our tablespace was provided by Pow Wow West, purveyor of unique and stylish one-of-a-kind pieces. We showcased the top-of-the-line rentals from Canvas Unlimited, including their light wood farm table and matching chivari chairs.
