“In 2013 I moved to Charleston, South Carolina and started working at a restaurant where Andrew was the bartender. The two of us worked great together and we became friends fast. We were both dating other people at the time, but a couple of months down the road we became single at the same time and started a relationship. I love that we were such good friends before we started dating because he was already someone I confided in and trusted so it made the relationship that much easier in the beginning. After 5 years of dating, we had a house, three dogs, and a great life, but we were ready for the next big commitment, marriage. Unfortunately, COVID happened and slowed us down a little, but in March of 2021, Andrew proposed at our home with our dogs wearing “Will You Marry Our Dad?” bandanas. It was perfect for us in every way.”
