After meeting at university in Nottingham, England, Paddy and I first moved to London and then to Vancouver together. Last month, just before our seven year anniversary, Paddy surprised me by proposing at the Opabin Prospect, overlooking Lake O’Hara – the “crown jewel” of the Rocky Mountains. We had been on a 28km hike, and were met with the most beautiful views we’d ever seen. It felt so perfect and magical, and is like a surreal blur when I think back to it! We’ve started to plan out our wedding, and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate in 2022 with our friends and family.
