This shoot came about while I was getting ready to launch my planning business. I wanted to do the shoot in my hometown of Loveland, Colorado. I am also one of the owners of The Cupcake Gypsies and we have a partnership with Sweet Heart Winey. The second I walked into that building I knew I wanted to do the shoot there. I was inspired by the rich colors of the winery itself. I wanted the feel of the shoot to compliment those colors and not compete with them. They also have an amazing outdoor space that sets it apart from other venues in that area. After finalizing my amazing team of vendors I knew I had to find my models. Nicole, our bride, is the sister of one of my best friends and Brett is her husband. Nicole has a modeling background so choosing her was a no brainer and all I had to do was get Brett to agree. I offered him free cupcakes and he was in. They have been married for almost 9 years and have 2 kiddos. Nicole has this amazing honey bee tattoo on her back and I decided I would style the shoot to include her love of the honey bees. She told me she hated her original wedding photos and wanted to have something to replace those so I wanted them to feel connected to the shoot as well! I also decided to include my Great Dane, Leela. How can you not love that tongue! We had the perfect fall day for the shoot, it was actually like 80 degrees out at one point and the next day it snowed so we got lucky on that. I think the combination of an amazing new Colorado venue plus fantastic photography makes this shoot a perfect fit for Rocky Mountain Bride!
