The Couple

Mike + Amanda

Mike and Amanda first met in 2004 when Mike was attending graduate school in New Mexico. Life took them their separate ways, but they kept in touch and in 2019 a message on social media changed their lives when Mike reached out to Amanda to catch up. The pair rekindled a friendship and found themselves both single at the same time for the first time in 15 years. Their friendship blossomed into love, and a year later in the midst of COVID Mike popped the question in their kitchen, the two were ecstatic to make it official. Mike and Amanda had waited long enough to make it official, so they chose to forgo a large and lavish post-pandemic affair. Instead they planned an intimate exchange of vows in the beautiful foothills of the Sandia Mountains followed by a candlelit dinner at their home. The couple loves the natural beauty of New Mexico and used the soft desert hues of nature and architecture as inspiration. The florals and cake design were an homage to a terracotta to blush color melt. Talavera tile designs were incorporated into the cake and tablescape with accents of brass and the warm glow of candles. A lace gown and turquoise jewelry added a New Mexican flair to the bride’s personal style. The couple refers to their vendors as ‘the dream team’ of Albuquerque wedding pros and couldn’t be happier with the outcome of their special day.
