In my mind, I had already chosen the couple, Sam and Patrick, for our adventure elopement inspiration shoot on film before I knew where the shoot would take place. They were just the right fit for us. They were adventurous, loved to hike, and on top of that, we later found out that they opted not to get engagement photos. And they were familiar with the area that was going to be the backdrop of these images. We took advantage of their experience and decided on a place they’d hiked before – Dream Lake.
They both have amazing pictures of their travels on Instagram. Not only here in the States, but around the world. The places they have been and the images they have captured were the exact ones we wanted. When we asked for suggestions for a location; they immediately knew where to go. It didn’t take much research to realize Dream Lake was perfect.
After a brief rainstorm, followed by one of the most incredible rainbows any of us had ever seen, we began our adventure by hiking slow and steady up 2 miles to this amazing location. We brought along some incredible florals from Victorian Gardens, a flowy gown from Mr. Pretty Skirt, our camera gear, and one amazing couple.
