Francesca + Joe
Francesca + Joe got married in a traditional church and celebrate with their reception on top of the highest mesa in the Mesilla valley. Their New Mexico wedding brought to life the traditional land of enchantment mixed with desert elegance. Their bright floral arrangements, brought to life by Calhoun Flower Farms, were the perfect pop of color to the adobe reception.
Set atop the highest mesa in the enchanting Mesilla valley this wedding was the epitome of desert elegance. Francesca and Joe wanted their wedding to honor the land of enchantment, so the florals and the color palette took direction from desert landscape enveloping their adobe home. The desert botanicals used throughout the installations and table-scape included items foraged around the house like, grasses, salt cedar, four-winged salt bush, cholla cactus and sweet-smelling creosote. Considering the surrounding setting, the décor pieces focused on using natural textures like terracotta and copper for a little sparkle. Hallmarks of the magical night included an epic 150 ft long serpentine table, a massive arch, flower covered spiral staircase and driveway lined with Luminarias (traditional paper bag lanterns) guiding guests from the base of the mesa up to the house for the celebration of a lifetime. This enchanting couple danced the night away under the open star-filled sky of southern New Mexico.
