When the Canyon Ski Resort invited us to commission a styled shoot at their property I was instantly delighted! The views, sight and nature of this location is truly magical, which inspired us to create an enchanted forest wedding. I wanted to showcase the change of seasons from Summer to Fall with muted tones of mauve, grey and cream, to evoke the “moodiness” found deep in the woods. I also opted for dramatic textures of velvet, wood and greenery as a canvas to all the themed details of the shoot. We decided to veer off the traditional “florals” of a wedding, and chose to go with decorations with real elements of the forest like moss, succulents, branches, mushrooms, roots, leaves, and water. The featured real couple was the missing piece that brought all the story-line together. It was just a very special opportunity to celebrate their “happy ever-after” magical love story, having just celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary this year!
