Alex + Ryn
Alex and I are bonded by our love of adventure and the great outdoors. Early on in our relationship, we set a goal to visit every National Park as a couple. We couldn’t think of a better place to kick off that adventure than Glacier National Park, The Crown of the Continent. We exchanged our vows at Pray Lake in East Glacier with Pastor Tim and Aundrea, our photographer (and hype woman) being the only attendees.
We were at the whim of the elements and what a wild day it was! We experienced light rain before and extremely strong wind during our vows with temperatures dipping as low as 40 degrees. The storm clouds whirled around us and provided a moody environment for our first hours as husband and wife. Aundrea escorted us through the mountains and created beautiful art in her photographs of us. A mama and baby bear crossed our path on the way up the mountain. A group of photography students used us as subjects while we took advantage of the wind and the tulle in my dress. Also, we even witnessed a group of wild horses run across a field at the end of our photo session. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and exciting wedding day. We stayed the night in the Honeymoon Suite of the historic Belton Chalet. Glacier National Park will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
