Elegant and Earth Inspired Wedding at Blackhawk on the River

The wedding was held on July 20th, 2019, in McCall, Idaho. The ceremony took place at a gorgeous venue, Blackhawk on the River, with views of the mountains from every angle. We used natural grasses and beautiful large vases as aisle decor. The guests were greeted with cold lemonade and water, with the programs printed on fans for everyone to stay cool. The bride wore an elegant dress and walked down the aisle with both of her parents. The couple did include both of their dogs in the ceremony, by having them be walked down the aisle carrying the rings on their collars. The officiant was a family friend and a few passages were read by close friends and family members. It was a perfect ceremony!

Guests were then transported to the reception site, which was the Groom’s family cabin located just a few minutes from the Ceremony venue. A seating assignment wall was the first thing that guests saw when they entered the space, followed by an arbor adorned with draped fabric. They were then asked to sign a painting of a tree for the guest book, where each person or family signed a branch. The couple now has this hanging in their home! Guests found their seats at the tables filled with moss-covered branches, bud vases of gorgeous flowers, napkins with the menu attached, and ginger cookies at each place setting for favors. The dance floor was custom built by the couple and their families, as a stage dance floor that was elevated so everyone could see the events happening on it, surrounded by bistro lighting. There was an array of homemade desserts, done by a family friend, along with a smaller professionally done cake. Everything was delish! The bar was placed against a wooden wall, decorated with a skull and tons of flowers. The couple had time to spend with each of their guests, which was very important to them! They wanted to celebrate and dance the night away with everyone that they loved. Their goal was to create an elegant, nature-filled wedding day and that is exactly what they got!
