We met at a party in Logan on New Year’s Eve. I assumed that we would never see each other again because I went to Brigham Young University, but I was surprised to find him in two of my classes at BYU that next semester. We became close friends and became even closer after my mission! It was almost too easy to be with each other— we were not only romantically interested, but we had so much fun and felt like we were best friends too. We spent a year dating, hiking, trying new foods, and enjoying each other. Austin knows me and knew that I wanted an intimate proposal so he kept the ring with him for a week waiting for the right time. One morning, we were driving near my house in Cache Valley and I asked to stop and take a picture and he took the opportunity to talk with me and pop the question! Austin and I both do well with helping the other. We work well together because we cheer each other on.
