This rock’n’roll styled shoot captures a unique part of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cam Storie Photography dreamt up this shoot as something edgy and unique than the typical elopement. The neon signs and brightly colored background of the diner are two elements that brings this stunning elopement to life.
This shoot all started as a daydream. I wanted to create and bring something a little different to the table. I envisioned grunge and glam married together. My gal pal, Courtney, and I decided to collaborate and bring some edge to New Mexico. I wanted something out of the box and a little untraditional. Instead of a gorgeous white gown, I envisioned something that allowed our bride to hop on the back of her grooms motorcycle. So this fun midi black skirt fit the bill, paired with a sweet white lace crop top, a slightly blush floor length veil, and boots made our edgy bridal vision come to life.
Oh and funny story about the veil. I ordered a blush veil and when it arrived there wasn’t a hint of blush color in sight. So the night before the big day I was hand dying the veil blush in the bath tub.
Once the bridal outfit came together, we poured our hearts into creating and designing the rest of this edgy elopement. Once all the little details were sorted out, I had to find a location. I scoured all of downtown Albuquerque and Nob Hill and finally stumbled across the perfect spots. From milkshakes at the retro diner to the glow of that HOT neon sign I knew edgy gold was struck! With a group of amazing vendors our edgy rock and roll elopement came to life.
The day was spent with dancing under the disco ball and sipping milkshakes in the dinner, to smooches on the back of the grooms rad motorcycle, and donuts, we can’t forget about the donuts.
