Their Love Story

Brady and I met in high school and our friendship eventually evolved into a relationship. After five years of dating, we went on a family vacation to Florence, Italy. One night on the trip during sunset at the Piazzale Michelangelo, he popped the question and I was completely surprised! That night, we celebrated with family by popping a bottle of champagne on an Italian rooftop terrace, it was perfection.

We knew we wanted to get married in the Okanagan where all our friends and family could be a part of our day. As a wedding planner, I knew that we did not want a traditional wedding and so I set out to create something fun and different. We opted for a cocktail/garden style party with a grazing menu with some of our favorite small bites including wood fired pizza and meats fresh off the grill. We also had an abundance of local Okanagan produce, meats, cheeses and wine, which really added to the Okanagan influenced wedding we strived to have. I wanted to incorporate natural hues and a lot of greenery accents in our venue. The space was perfect for hosting our garden ceremony, reception, casino area, dance, and kids area. My husband really wanted to create a casino area on site, which ended up being a huge hit with our guests and added a great element of fun to the day. Our dance moved into the rustic barn where we offered late night treats - cookies + milk, popcorn bar, candy bar, and poutine! To top it off, the tuscan villa on site was perfect because the entire wedding party was able to stay there for a wedding getaway weekend.

Our wedding was a complete dream and the vendor team we had worked so hard to bring our vision to life exactly how we'd hoped!
