Alex + Pamela
With everything going on in the world, elopements have gained massive popularity. This Lost Gulch Overlook elopement took place before the world shut down, but is still so dreamy. Samuel Marz captured Alex + Pamela’s love so raw and beautifully it almost brings a tear to our eye. We hope it does for you as well!
Alex and Pamela met each other while attending university in Florida. They are both passionate about film, music and all things adventure. While in Florida, they would spend date nights long-boarding along the coast or watching Netflix. Pamela and Alex love to explore new places, which eventually landed them living in Arizona. They now live in Denver, Colorado where Pamela is pursuing audio and film production, while also finishing a health and wellness mentorship. Alex serves in the Colorado National Guard and plans to become a police officer someday.
When Alex and Pamela first contacted me, I knew right away that I wanted to photograph their elopement. I asked Pamela why they chose to elope, and her answer says it all, “We want less stress. Why spend thousands on thousands to prove you’re in love anyway? It’s all about the love. Never about the status.”
The day was beautiful, intimate and romantic. They wanted a no-frills elopement in the mountains, with epic views and nature serving as the decor. They eloped near the Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder, Colorado. It was the perfect location for an elopement: private and beautiful. There was just enough room for the handful of friends and family that came in from all over the country. It was so evident the love that their people had for this sweet couple. You could see, hear and feel it.
