Chase and I met and started dating in high school when I was 15 and he was 16. I remember how excited I was to go on my first ever date with such a cute guy! We officially started dating in November of 2015; Chase was my first and only boyfriend, and I was Chase’s first and only girlfriend. Looking back at it now, it is hard to believe that our relationship lasted through the ups and downs of growing up! Chase and I fell for one another very fast and became close both as friends and as a couple. As the years went by we continued to fall more in love. Earlier this year, after dating for nearly 5 years, Chase and I started talking about marriage. Together we decided that summer of 2021 would be a good time to get married. As time went on, I started anticipating the proposal. I was so nervous and excited each day I spent with Chase, thinking that this could be the day he asks. On June 21, 2020, Chase took to me out for dinner in Canmore. After dinner, we drove out to Bragg Creek where he set up the scene for the most perfect proposal. Lights were leading to the door of the building he would propose in. Lights were strung from the ceiling, and a table was set up with candles, champagne, and two glasses. Chase gave a beautiful speech that I cannot remember at all. After his speech, Chase got down on one knee and asked me to marry him – the easiest yes of my life! We popped champagne and enjoyed our time together as an engaged couple! I cannot wait to marry my best friend in the world! The countdown is on: July 11, 2021!
