Idaho Styled Shoot

The Inspiration

The styled shoot that showcased how dreamy, elegant and truly FUN it can be to incorporate alpacas into an elopement in the mountains can be. Twin Creeks Farm, an upcoming wedding venue in Princeton, Idaho, tucked back in a forest of trees on the Palouse of Idaho, provided us a gorgeous location for an elopement styled shoot. In the early stages, we planned to do a larger styled shoot to showcase the full capacity of the venue, but in response to many weddings downsizing due to COVID-19 and couples looking for venues that are happy to accommodate smaller sizes, we were excited about the thought of an elaborate elopement shoot. Who wouldn’t want to sneak away into the mountains with your love and a few alpacas and promise forever to each other?
All but one of the collaborators from this shoot currently operate within 2 hours of the venue, and these professionals happy to roll with the punches and changes that COVID-19 brought. The vendor who truly took this shoot over the top was our florist, Eden (Garden of Eden – come on, she was BORN for her line of work!). She arrived at the venue several hours before the shoot with her small SUV packed to the brim with buckets of flowers and hand designed each and every floral installation that day. What is even better is that she also hand-picked each of the flowers from Bee Haven Flower Farm in Bonners Ferry, ID. Some of the greenery was even foraged from around Twin Creeks Farm’s heart shaped pond. With many local florists struggling to make the decision to discard their crop due to the decrease in the event industry this year, we felt honored that Eden was able to bring another collaborator along who we could support.
In addition, our couple is very special to us and they travelled from the Boise area during the middle of a pandemic to stand in as bride and groom for us, near their first anniversary.  I was lucky enough to attend their wedding as Brittney’s Maid of Honor almost exactly a year before the styled shoot was executed. I have to testify, Brandon’s reaction to seeing her in a gown again gave us all feels. They share a special kind of love, and every image of them makes us swoon.  From the beginning, our vision was tailored around a deep, statement Pantone Blue and copper Moscow Mule mugs. Every detail from this shoot blew us away, as every vendor showed us how gifted they are.
