Mel + Jordan
I first met Mel at Top Hat in Missoula, MT. It was our first date, we clicked immediately. We were having such a good time together that we couldn’t just end the date after our meal. We ended up going to several other places in town as an excuse to keep the date going. Before we knew it, eight hours had passed! I knew that she was something special. From there our adventures began, Mel and I along with our 2 dogs, Darla and Holly. We’ve spent every possible opportunity to explore the world around us. We would cook meals of the tailgate and camp in the back of the truck along the way. From the sand dunes and waterfalls of Idaho to winter hot spring soaks with elk in the Boiling River of Yellowstone. As we continued our adventures I was quickly finding out that this was going to be the person I plan on spending the rest of my life with. Our adventures led us to float the North Fork of the Flathead River from the Canadian Border down into Montana. It is a remote area and the skyline to the east is the peaks of Glacier National Park. As we came around a river bend I knew that this was going to be the spot. I proposed to Mel while she was showing me a heart-shaped rock that she had found to set outside our tent for that evening. I was so excited that I forgot to put the ring on her finger when she said yes! My life with Mel in it has become more complete than what I could have ever hoped for. As we continue our lives together, I know that we’d be able to handle anything that life throws at us. I can’t wait to see what new adventures are in store and wouldn’t want to find out with any other person in the world. I am so blessed that I will soon be able to call her my wife!
