Love Story
Jamie and Kevin met as freshmen at the University of Connecticut in the fall of 2011. They lived in the same dorm hall, instantly became close friends, and spent any chance they could together. Kevin still remembers the first time he ever met Jamie and could tell you exactly where they were and what their first conversation was! Throughout freshman year they grew closer – walking to classes together, eating at dining halls, doing laundry, and staying up late playing video games.
It wasn’t until the beginning of their sophomore year that (a newly single) Jamie went with Kevin and their friends to a Six Flags and truly hit it off. They sat together on the world’s tallest roller coaster and held hands (while screaming at the top of their lungs) for the first time. After that, it became clear that they were more than just friends, and the rest is history. As seniors, they decided to study abroad at the same time with Kevin living in Granada, Spain and Jamie living in Florence, Italy. The two discovered their love of traveling and enjoyed exploring different European cities like London, Paris, Seville, and Rome.
They graduated from college in 2015 and went back to living in their respective states. Kevin went back to Massachusetts and Jamie stayed in CT, and so began their long distance relationship. After two long years of driving back and forth to each other every weekend, they decided to take a leap of faith and move across the country to the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Kevin proposed at Sawmill Reservoir in Breckenridge, CO, a special place that they hiked at before even moving to Denver. Their corgi, Scooter stood by their side for their engagement, so it only made sense to include him in their engagement photos at Mount Falcon Park as well! Jamie and Kevin are so excited to be getting married at The Manor House next summer and to be able to show their friends and their families their new beautiful home state of Colorado.
