Accessorizing your wedding day look is one of our favorite parts of styling brides! It’s a way to show off the bride’s style and personality, without the pressure brides can feel when choosing the dress. It’s a process that should be fun, stress-free, and exciting.
Bridal accessories have come a long way from even just 10 years ago. Now, there are so many amazing choices for veils, headpieces, jewelry, sashes, capes, and beyond. With so many choices (thank goodness for more options these days!), it can be a daunting process to pick out what works best for your style and your dress if you don’t have a stylist by your side. Our stylists here at Little White Dress Bridal Shop are experts at helping brides navigate the best looks from the best accessory designers so you can enjoy the process of completing your wedding day look.
To get you excited for accessorizing, we’re showing off a few of our favorite tips and picks for those finishing touches!
A modern take on pearls is the perfect way to make hair accessories feel fresh, fun and stylish. These pearl hairpins by Jennifer Behr can be arranged any which way, and we love how they’re lightweight and versatile – totally something a style Instagrammer would wear to her wedding!
We hear from a lot of brides that they don’t want to wear a veil – that is, until they see that it doesn’t have to be boring or traditional. This fringe-edged veil is so much fun to wear and instantly lends a boho vibe to even the most classic of dresses.
When in doubt, go for classic elegance. You can’t go wrong with silver accessories – they’re completely timeless. To keep your look modern and infuse a touch of glam, go for a floral beaded veil rather than floral lace. Tie it all together with silver drop earrings and silver shoes.
When else can you wear an actual crown? Bridal crowns are very “in” right now, and we are all about showing off your personality with a bold statement. These aren’t the tacky tiaras of the past. We’re talking about regal, Beyonce-worthy jewels for your real-life red carpet moment when you walk down the aisle on your big day.
Can’t decide between silver and gold? Good news is you don’t have to! Mixed metals are a big trend with bridal accessories at the moment. It gives a depth to your look that photographs beautifully and is perfect for brides with warmer hair and skin tones.
We hope one of the looks above helps to inspire your wedding day look! But, in case you need a reminder, our biggest tip of all:
“YOU DO YOU” when it comes to what you wear on your wedding day!
