Inspiration Behind the Shoot

From the Photographers, Jelger and Tanja

The color scheme of this styled elopement was inspired by a golden sunset followed by blue and silver twilight. The couple enjoyed a gorgeous sunset together at West Vancouver's Whytecliff park. Whytecliff shows off the Pacific West Coast ocean at it's best! After the sunset, everything was set up for the perfect twilight dinner.

Jennifer from JG Events arranged the wooden chiavari chairs to add a natural feel to the table setup. For dinnerware, she used gold-banded plates on silver charger plates and blue napkins. The name tags playfully boast alternating gold and silver borders. The menus, which contained tasty seafood dishes, stayed in place thanks to cute pebbles found on the beach. The cake table bore a wedgewood blue table cloth, and was lit by candles in beautiful antique lanterns. Our cake artist created a cake with little lights to create a unique ambiance during twilight. We love how as it gets darker, the lights show more, but this cake also looks stunning in regular daylight. The artist designed it by hand and placed each light at a specific spot in the fondant.
