Moni + Dave
This wedding at the Space Gallery in Denver, Colorado is classy and regal – we hope you love it as much as we do! Dapper Event Design & Production planned the perfect wedding for Moni + Dave; our favorite part of the beautiful day is the champagne wall. Happy reading!
Moni and Dave are one rad couple! I absolutely loved shooting their engagement photos and their incredible wedding day. My favorite thing about these two is that really, they are just two big kids; constantly laughing and making everything into a great time. On top of that, they are crazy about each other, and it’s so crazy obvious to anyone that encounters them together. Truly, they are each other’s number one. Individually, Moni is such a kind, bubbly and stunning person; I swear she made me feel like I was a guest at their wedding rather than a vendor. Dave is just a blast to be around; he’s always smiling, being a goof-ball and genuinely happy. It feels like together they are the perfect combination, bringing love and light to every room they enter and every person they meet!
Another thing that was so special about this wedding was the amazing group of vendors they had; many of them, myself included, being old friends of theirs. I loved working with a team of so many wonderful people to make Moni + Dave’s wedding day perfect. I was specifically impressed with Dapper Event Design & Production and how they went above and beyond in planning the event, designing all the florals and even creating an awesome champagne wall, The Simply Pizza Truck and their super wonderful family ran food truck, and Brodie Kinder of Kinder Everlasting who was easy to work with and created an absolutely stunning wedding video. All together, this was a wonderful wedding to work and really was pulled together with so much love and intention. When it comes to hosting people well and bringing together great people, the Pennys do it right. It was such an honor and joy to be a part of their best day yet!

Moni and Dave were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend in August of 2016. Dave called her to try planning the first date, but she was heading out of the country for a couple weeks and just as she was getting back, Dave was doing the same to a different part of the world. Meeting up felt challenging at first, but they were finally able to connect, it’s a good thing they did. What was planned as a happy hour first date drink date turned into them closing down a little Italian restaurant. They happened to live in the same neighborhood, just 5 blocks apart, but had never crossed paths. Their first kiss came a different night after they rode bikes through the park and had ice cream.
After the date ended Dave got halfway home before realizing he was still walking his bike up the street instead of riding it. From then on it was rare that a day or two went by without them seeing one another, other than when Moni travels internationally for work which can be weeks at a time.
They say love conquers all which apparently includes Dave’s 35 year allergy to cats which he had until he fell for Moni, their pet cat and he are best friends now.
The two really value each other’s needs and opinions, in fact whenever they are making plans or discussing the day ahead they make sure to discuss what their “our number one” thing is that they each want to accomplish on that day/trip/experience; then build everything else around the most important things. As their officiant said, you quickly realize they are each other’s number one. They build experience focused on what’s most important for the other person, always thinking of each other. This has allowed them to help each person accomplish what’s most important to them and balances Moni’s planning skills with Dave’s more laissez-faire approach to schedules. It also ensures the couple continues to create unforgettable adventures while being themselves and being very much together.
