“We met through mutual friends at Gonzaga, and ended up playing on the same intramural volleyball team. It was pretty clear we both had a little crush, but it took us over a year (and admittedly a few drinks) to finally address it. We’ve been best friends ever since. As a CPA February through April is a pretty rough time of year for me. Nathan suggested we go on a little weekend trip to Leavenworth at the end of March to spend some time together and get away from work. When we arrived he told me that he had booked our reservation too late and that all they had left were suites, which he said also came with champagne and chocolate. After a great dinner, we went for a little walk by the river, and he stopped a couple to ask them if they could take a picture. After the first photo, he asked for one more and before they could take it dropped to one knee and proposed. All of a sudden every single sign I had overlooked started to make sense, I was completely shocked in the best way!”
