We tend to see a lot of lifestyle, elopements or engagements in the Canadian Rockies, but we’re loving the unique idea of professional photos taken on your honeymoon! David + Anna’s honeymoon plans in Alberta, Canada were meant to boast beautiful fall leaves and warmer temperatures. In their honeymoon photos, captured by Nathan Walker Photography at Moraine Lake in Banff, Alberta, the weather was less than warm.
David + Anna were married in September in the USA, but they travelled to Alberta, Canada for their honeymoon in the beginning of October. Their plan was to visit all the popular tourist sites in the Canadian Rockies. October is typically full of fall colors and warm temperatures, however, upon arriving at Moraine Lake, a massive winter storm had set in. Luckily the stunning turquoise water wasn’t frozen, so it was quite magical. I shot their portraits during the storm, and the results were breathtaking. It felt like a fairytale. Huge fluffy snowflakes, stunning turquoise water, and mountains all around. It was definitely a shoot to remember! I am so grateful they made the effort to be present during the not-so-great weather. They now have a very memorable honeymoon!
