A Montana Elopement to Remember
"Chris and I chose Chico Hot Springs for our "falope-ment" because we wanted an intimate wedding location that we were familiar with. The first winter we met, we spent my birthday at Chico with a few friends in -20º degree weather and Chico always held a special place in our hearts ever since.
It was really important to me to spend time with Chris in the morning in the hot springs but then also to cherish the time spent getting ready for the ceremony. With abundant mimosas, I got ready with my sisters-in-law and worked on getting my vows finalized. When it was finally time to walk down the aisle I felt gorgeous!!
For our wedding, we wanted something small, intimate, and romantic and Grandma's Garden was the perfect spot. We definitely "flew by the west of our pants" on the day of the wedding! We didn't rehearse until 11 AM! At that point, we made a last minute decision that we wanted our friends and family to relax after the ceremony so we asked Chico staff if they could light a fire and have champagne and beer available. They were absolutely amazing accommodating our last minute requests!
The Wine Cellar provided a perfect venue for dinner and the sunset provided perfect lighting for our photos. I will say that planning a destination wedding in 6 months is a tad stressful but it was definitely worth it. And thank goodness for Instagram! I was able to find the most amazing photographer, hair and makeup artist, and florist all online!
It truly was an amazing weekend and I'll never forget it!"
