Cheers to this Veuve-Inspired Bachelorette Party in Park City, Utah

Grab a bottle of champagne & travel to Marge City with us!  Margaret Delchamps hosted her bachelorette weekend at a private home in Park City, Utah – which her and her gals took over to establish “Marge City” during their staycation.  The bach weekend had multiple themes throughout, one of which was inspired by Veuve Clicquot Champagne (which is fitting since the bride even has the word “champ” in her new last name!).  The Veuve orange outfits and decor make us want to celebrate with some bubbly, too!  Instead of going out on the town the whole weekend, Margaret and her girl squad stayed in and celebrated with a private chef, a photo shoot, and of course – lots of champagne.  We did a Q&A with the bride to help give you some inspo for your bright & boozy bachelorette party, so keep reading to find out some creative ways you can have a fun-filled bachelorette at “home”!

Q&A with the Bride

What was your personal favorite part of the bachelorette?

Can every part be my favorite?! We truly had the best long weekend, it’s hard to choose. To name a few: a private yoga class on the lawn overlooking the Canyons, Mid-day champagne & french fries in the hot tub, massages by the pool, or ending the night with karaoke on stage at the house… but having all of the most important girls in my life travel there to celebrate with me tops it all.

Why did you choose the location & theme(s)?

I live for planning this type of stuff so my Maids of Honor weren’t offended when I took charge. A very close family friend of mine has the most beautiful home in Park City and when she offered it to us for my bachelorette, I knew this was going to be a trip of a lifetime! The overall theme was Marge City, with the bachelorette being in Park City & “Marge” being my nickname, and then we added additional themes to coincide with some of my favorite things, as well as a color story of orange and pink.
Our secondary theme was “Come on Margie, Let’s go Party” with each event centered around a “Barbie”- e.g. hot tub barbie, main street barbie, sushi barbie, pj party barbie. We used the Bach app to organize events for each themed day. My family friend even got a Barbie doll and sourced a vintage wedding dress that looked just like mine and styled the Barbie to look like me, and it was there for me when we arrived as a surprise. She came everywhere with us and was perfect for photo ops. She had a top hat & veil that matched the one my sisters made for me to wear for the weekend, (of course, Parent Trap inspired).
Night 2’s theme was “Veuve before Vows” – Bottomless veuve and everyone dressed in orange and pink! We had painted Veuve bottles for everybody and matching champagne flutes. My sisters also added in elements from some of my favorite things, such as The Parent Trap, which I’ve loved since I was a kid.

What was the best small detail from the weekend?

The whole trip was very detailed and so thoughtful. My sister painted the veuve bottles for all of us, there were hard seltzer cans personalized with my face as “bach booze”, the Parent Trap inspired top hat, and even the balloons said Marge City on them! Wish Park City did such an amazing job with the decorations and personalized touches. Even from over 1,000 miles away, my family friend was able to add so many thoughtful details as well. After a long travel day, she had a charcuterie and champagne spread when we arrived at the house with a handwritten note, custom party headbands and more to welcome us.
Did you have any great food while in Park City?
We had local Chef Mikey come to the house to roll sushi and I think I can speak for everyone when I say it was the best experience. We got to watch him make everything, even help out a little, which was so fun. AND it was the best sushi I’ve ever had!
What was something that surprised you during the weekend?
I was surprised with a fun professional photoshoot! So thankful for this surprise & Ashlee. She captured some of my favorite pictures of my closest friends and me. Also — My sisters surprised me with a Cameo from Meredith Blake (Elaine Hendrix) herself.  Like I said, my favorite movie is The Parent Trap and I pulled a lot of inspo from there for my bach and wedding, so when they played the Cameo of her talking to me, I was in shock! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t tear up… I was so happy.
