When Shelley from Bottomz Up approached Wedding Planner Kathy Arbuah-Bowser from Atseyie Events to do a styled shoot collaboration involving her mobile bar trailer, the ideas immediately started flowing. We wanted to transform an open-air green space behind Hastings Lake Greenhouse into a romantic, garden party inspired wedding reception. With backyard and private estate weddings on the rise, we wanted to inspire couples and showcase that with a mobile bar, you can hold a beautiful wedding anywhere! Set with a woodland backdrop, this shoot combined natural and earthy elements with delicate details of lace and scallops to create a charming scene of garden romance. The vintage couch we used for the lounge inspired the colour palette of deep, vintage rose. We combined a mix of ombré pink and pops of orange to add both to the romance and the garden feel. We used ivory scalloped dinnerware for the guest table to create some delicate texture and elegance. The florals from Prairie Willow Co. included a stunning mix of ivory and pink flowers, with a touch of orange. The greenery around the base created a natural, overgrown look. We used gold as an accent to add some majestic elegance. The bride wore a fun tea length, Ivory lace dress with a sweetheart neckline and scalloped hem by J’adore Australia, provided by the Dress Lounge. The silhouette made the bride look both sweet and sexy and was perfect for a summertime outdoor wedding! Our models brought garden romance vibes to every aspect of the shoot. A summer shower fell right in the middle of our shoot, reminding us to always be prepared for Alberta’s hour-to-hour changing weather.
