Sam and I met on bumble in December of 2017. I was a travel nurse who moved to Ohio for an assignment. I did not expect it to get serious considering I was going to be in Ohio for 3 months and my next contract was in Arizona. However, 3 months later he hopped in a car with me and drove me across the country! We made long distance work for 6 months and did lots of traveling. He found our first home for us while I was still in Arizona. I moved to Ohio in October of 2018 and we got our first home together. In may of 2019 we got engaged on a waterfall hike in our town and we planned our wedding for August of 2020. When COVID hit we knew we needed to postpone but it was heartbreaking. We decided we didn’t want our original wedding date to be a sad weekend for us when it came, so we booked our trip to Breckenridge! It gave us something to look forward to instead of being bummed about the postponement and we are so thankful we did it. We got all dressed up, drank champagne on a mountain and hired Rachel to take our photos. Our new wedding date in June 26, 2021 but August 8th will always be a date to remember!
