Steven and I met while working at a car dealership on the North Shore, we became friends and started dating 11 months after we met. Early on in our relationship, we talking about marriage and kids, and we both knew this was it. Two years into our relationship we walked in to Cavaliers and designed my amazing ring. As time went by we kept talking about marriage but the proposal never happened…I think because I was always just suspicious.
Fast forward two years later, I was getting ready to go to the gym and Steven was getting ready to take our dog Wilson out for a walk. He asked me to grab him a drink of water as he was getting Wilson ready. I handed him his glass of water and walked to the other side of the room, he looked at me and asked me to look at what was on Wilson collar. Thinking nothing of it I bent over and saw a little red heart tag that read “will you marry my daddy?” I look up with shock and tears in my eyes saying “is this for real” Steven is on one knee and he looks at me and says “so.. will you marry me?” Still in complete shock I say “is this for real” he replied “yes..so will you marry me?” I replied “of course, yes, yes, yes.” He put the ring on my finger and we hugged and kiss, I was so over joyed. He then looks at me with a blank stare…”did you even look at your ring?” I said “oh no! Why?” He replied “look at it” I looked at my ring and realized it was the ring we had designed together two years ago.
