Scott and Lilli wed on Saturday, April 28 in 2018 with their friends and family as witnesses in Snow Canyon State Park. A few weeks later they captured portraits in Capitol Reef National Park with Kyle Loves Tori Photography their wedding photographers. Below, Scott and Lilli share their engagement story!
We had planned a family trip to Panama City Beach, Florida where both our families would meet for the first time. A few days before our scheduled trip, Hurricane Irma forced the parents of the bride to evacuate from Miami. Upon finding this, the bride changed her flight and met her family in Tampa where they would continue to travel north to their vacation destination. There, they waited safely for everyone’s arrival. Everything went smoothly and everyone got along! After four days, and the night before Lili’s parents headed back to address the damage, we all decided to take family pictures for the holidays. After the pictures, Lili and Scott went for a sunset walk as they always did. As soon as we left, Scott’s brother and Lili’s brother turned to the parents and explained that they needed help setting up for the proposal. No one had any knowledge of the proposal except for the two brothers and Dave’s wife, Ashley. Immediately after the news broke, both mothers cried (or so we are told). All family members hurried to set up a heart with candles on the sand. Lili had no clue what the heart was for since earlier that evening there was a wedding only a few feet away. Once near the heart, Scott got on one knee and proposed. Lili said YES!
