No matter where the journey is taking Buttercream Design Co., the life of every traveling cake starts off with a tasting! Join the Buttercream team for an intimate cake tasting to go over the wedding logistics, the design the cake and, of course, taste cake! Don’t fret if you’re not located in Jackson Hole, cake tastings are also available on site at the destination for an additional cost. To ensure complete satisfaction, all cake tasting samples are baked and held in the exact timeline as a wedding cake so you’ll taste the piece of cake how it will be on the day of your celebration. Perfection; it truly is all about precision to detail!
Preparing the Cake for Lift-Off
All cakes start at Buttercream Design Co.’s commercial kitchen in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Here, the cake is baked with love, filled with deliciousness, frosted with a crumb coat and finished off with a buttercream mask. From there, depending on the design, the Buttercream team adds necessary structural supports or stacking tiers.
The Buttercream team then crafts the sugar decorations and carefully packages and safely stores them for travel. Once the cake is fully assembled and chilled for travel, it is then placed in a CakeSafe for safekeeping during travel. Come to mama!
Ready, set, let’s jet!
When it’s finally time to celebrate, Buttercream takes every precaution to safely get your cake to its final destination. The sky truly is the limit when it comes to where Buttercream can take your cake! The Buttercream team can transport your cake via plane or van.
Once the Buttercream team arrives, they transport the cake to a local commercial kitchen for storage and any last-minute structural requirements that may be needed.
Once Buttercream arrives on site with the luggage, a.k.a the cake, the final prep work takes place. What’s this mean? All delicate embellishments, including sugar work, and fresh florals are added to the cake. The cake is then left to come to room temperature before it makes its big debut.
The Main Event
The cake is a two-part experience. First, Buttercream Design will display the cake so you and your guests can revel in the grand beauty and craftsmanship of cake. Secondly, the best of part, of course, is saved for last; enjoying the delicious cake with family and friends down to the very last bite!
