The Wedding

“We met at Burning Man in 2016, and didn’t see one another until Burning Man in 2019 when our love truly evolved. We flew to our first off playa date to a private ranch in Nederland, Colorado, and a year and a half later Nicholas proposed where we had our first date among the aspen trees. We decided to plan our wedding there because it’s private, beautiful and has so much history of our love story within it. We went for a “Black Tie meets Burner” theme because we are of course Burners and it holds the special synchronicity of how we met yet we still wanted a slightly more elevated affair than what you would see on the playa. The Inso led us to not over due the natural ambiance of the beautiful ranch with magical wild flowers but to enhance it with a teepee altar, a tent strung with lights, a fun vintage bar, epic lounge areas and a one-of-a-kind tent installation! Nick is an organic cattle rancher so we served our own meat which was a truly special touch, we had the venue sprinkled with crystals and disco balls as well as bold flowers with pampas grass and fans. Incense and sage were in the air and we even had the flower girls smudged with sage and palo santo to elevate and purify the energy. The ceremony was officiated by a personal friend, who is a MC for Northern Nights Festival and was present when we had our first kiss on the playa. Our processional song was “The Business” by Tiesto played by cellist, Zach. The ceremony transitioned to sunset with appetizers and drinks by the pond and lead into a steak dinner followed by Burner DJ’s who had everyone dancing the night away.”
