Brisk Winter Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement

Mary and Jake met in the cadaver lab during their first year of medical school. They quickly fell in love both in the classroom and on the mountains. Jake knew that he wanted to make their engagement special, and proposing on the ski slopes was the perfect fit. The day of the proposal, the ski resorts were full, and not accepting any new skiers. So, they went backcountry skiing on the continental divide after hitchhiking to the top. Once he found a clearing, Jake got down on one knee and asked for Mary’s hand in marriage. She fell over. To this day, she attributes her instability to her snowboarding boots. Jake argues he swept her off her feet. They are currently living in Denver with their 8-month-old son, and are looking forward to their next adventure after medical school.
