Colorado is one of my favorite places to photograph. My last bridal session was near Garden of the Gods with lots of warm tones (especially the signature oranges and reds of the park). Wanting a similar monotone setting, just heading in the opposite direction of saturation envisioning very little color, naturally brought our team to Paint Mines Interpretive Park in Calhan. The mostly white setting, the textured rocks, and interesting shapes were the main elements kept in mind whilst planning the other details of the shoot. The textured material of the Kate McDonald gown paired with an Erin Rhyne branch hair accessory + windswept hair and natural makeup by Joey Osgard kept things simple and organic. A handmade paper, letter-pressed invitation suite by Isidore & Augustine was the perfect way to set the tone for the upcoming understated and organic nuptials. The cherry on the top of the cake is a lush monotone bouquet by Erin Ashley Design. The light was perfect and we’re so happy we were able to create a memorable & unique bridal session for a beautiful bride.
