The Wedding

From the Bride

Our wedding took place in August of 2014 at Genesee Mountain Park just outside of Denver. My dress was by Sarah Seven and my veil was by local designer Sara Gabriel , both from a & be bridal shop in Denver. I wore a customary silver and gold Norwegian wedding crown called a brudekrone and matching earrings to honor my heritage as my something borrowed.
My custom, vintage, postcard invitations were designed by Oh What Love Studios! Jon and I were engaged in Paris (on Lover's Bridge), so I wanted some invitations to honor that spot and others that meant a lot to our relationship.I loved the flowers that Stephanie of Lal Florals designed. One of my bridesmaids, Anna, makes flower crowns and Stephanie allowed her to collaborate and create the bridesmaids' flower crowns. We used Anna's Custom Pews as seating for our outdoor ceremony with an aisle made of Persian rugs for the perfect boho touch. We were battling afternoon thunderstorms, but the rain clouds parted just as I began my walk down the aisle. The rain started again at the moment we were pronounced husband and wife, causing everyone to run for shelter. It was a memorable moment to say the least!
