Sarah and Josef live in Boise, Idaho while the remainder of their families live elsewhere. Sarah knew that if she couldn’t have everyone there, then she just wanted to keep it intimate. They left it to the two of them and their beloved puppy, Banjo. In order to share the nuptials with family, they thought it best to include a photographer – and from there, the ideas unraveled on how they could make this an evening they would never forget.
This couple is the epitome of “outdoorsy” and they love the Idaho outdoors. So the two of them took multiple hikes to find the perfect place to share vows prior to the date. Little did we all realize how much more difficult it would be to haul a styled picnic to the location- but we pulled it off!
Sarah and Josef wanted everything to feel like “them” and they are probably some of the most down-to-earth people ever. So a low-key picnic felt like all we needed to spend time with each other after the ceremony. Colors included denim blues, browns, and creams with pops of color coming from the floral. Sarah’s flowy BHLDN gown made her look like an angel, especially in a gust of wind. Small custom paper details from Paperie + Pen adorned the plates with peaches that were grown on a tree in the yard of the home Sarah and Josef share.
The vows were sweet and genuine. Even though we were the only ones there, they were still spoken in almost a whisper. Banjo ran around and played almost the entire time, but during the vows – he was still.
