This shoot is one of my all time favorite shoots I’ve ever done. Andrea and Josh are seriously the most gorgeous, fashionable couple I have ever met, and the Great Sand Dunes here in Colorado are one of the most epic locations for a unique engagement/couples shoot. The Sand Dunes are not an easy place for photos though. Every step you take you sink back down from the sand. By the time we reached the top of the dunes we were seriously about to pass out. Best work out ever. On top of the exhaustion, the wind at the sand dunes is intense. It blows the sand like crazy, making it feel like tiny sand needles are stabbing you all over. It’s also cold, surprisingly cold. But after all that, it is SO worth it. The photos are beyond epic, and exploring the sand dunes is such a fun experience for a couple to have together. I love the incredible landscape, mixed with how sweet Andrea and Josh are together. This is what I live for as a photographer, capturing REAL experiences and emotions in epic places that take your breath away. These two were such good sports, despite the hardships, and we all had a blast running around the sand dunes for the most incredible photos ever.
