Inspired by the first look we had at the gorgeous wedding dress “Anastasia” from BB Bridal, my team envisioned a shootout and styled elopement for a group of Idaho photographers based in the scenic rock climbing destination of Castle Rocks State Park, and City of Rocks. Southern Idaho has it’s own unique wild beauty, and even in winter, the harsh landscape provides a dramatic backdrop to the boho colors and textures of our shoot. From the rich burgundy of the groom’s suit to the soft green of the bridal hat, we wanted to capture an elegant bohemian look at Idaho style.
Each of the vendors brought their own style and interpretation of our style board. The cacti and macrame on the cake tied in perfectly with our macrame ceremony backdrop and the cactus decor on the table. The artichoke and king protea in the bridal bouquet, offset the soft antique doily accents that adorned all of our florals. Our team spent four days camping in the rustic Bunkhouse at Castle Rocks State Park – playing games through random snow showers and watching the insanely clear starry skies at night in preparation for our wilderness elopement.
