Shanele and Alex are the type of people I love getting to know. Authentic, humble, kind, and oh-so adventurous.
These two lovebirds met in St. Louis, Missouri, while attending chiropractic school. Both had joined the intramural soccer team, and it wasn’t long before Shanele, who was known for intimidating everyone with her skills on the field, caught the eye of Alex.
The two quickly formed a strong friendship, often studying, barbecuing, and laughing together after long days at school. It wasn’t long before Cupid’s arrow struck, and after an evening on the town together (and a few shots of Fireball) Shanele and Alex both worked up the courage to admit their newfound feelings toward one another. They have been inseparable ever since.
Shanele and Alex have steadily built and beautiful and fulfilling life together. After spending many blissful days exploring nature, bonding with their pets Konai and Benjamin, and showing off their green thumbs in their garden, the couple knew they were ready to tie the knot.
Alex had a plan. Disguised as a trip to visit family, Alex and Shanele flew to New York City. As they were walking through Central Park one chilly evening, a photographer appeared, claiming to be a student, and asked the couple if he could take their photo. The couple agreed, but much to Shanele’s surprise, Alex lowered himself on one knee. As time seemingly stood still, Alex asked Shanele to be his wife. Much to his delight, she said YES!
At last, after much thoughtful planning, it was their wedding day. The day they would become husband and wife. After sharing an intimate first look, Alex and Shanele exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones, engulfed by the beauty of Curt Gowdy State Park. They cried. They laughed. Then, they partied. And let me tell you- it was certainly a celebration I will never forget!
