Trent and I met while attending Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. Go Dawgs! We met through mutual friends in our sorority and fraternity during a fundraising event! We slowly became good friends ourselves, and after some playful nudging from our friends, we decided to give our relationship a try. When I first met Trent, I knew that I was looking at my future. I had this feeling that he was going to be the best and most important chapter in my story. I think for Trent he would say he fell in love gradually as we started dating, but for me it really was love at first sight. We compliment each other in all the best ways. He is the optimist to my realist, and the adventure to my old soul. I felt myself come alive when I met him, and he continues to amaze me with his kind heart and genuine enthusiasm for life.
I loved the fact that it was just Trent and I celebrating. I love my family and friends and wish they could have seen the proposal live and been there to congratulate us, but at the same time, I loved the intimacy of the moment! Just Trent and I, on top of the world together celebrating the start of the rest of our lives!
