Best of 2023: Accessories, Shoes and Veils in The Rocky Mountains

We’ve seen our favorite gowns and bouquets that helped to make our brides feel extra gorgeous in 2023, so now we want to show off which accessories we loved, too!  Fun, personal, and custom accessories are a way to show off your personal style on your wedding day, and we got to know our Rocky Mountain brides better last year through the different jewelry, shoes, and veils they adorned.  Scroll through to see which 24 wedding looks held our very favorite accessories this year!

One: Elopement Accessories

Blair & Brendan tied the knot at the Denver Courthouse and took their fashionable love around downtown for some magazine-worthy portraits.  Bride Blair had the perfect vision for a “modern city elopement” look – in fact, she stunned in two city hall-esque outfits that were perfected by her accessories.  She wore two different pairs of stylish white heels to match her two distinct looks – chunky heels with a sleek white pant suit, and daintier heels to match her classy bridal mini (with a veil that hit perfectly at her hem).  The pearl beaded purse was everything she needed to perfect both looks, and be the best artwork in the hotel that day.  See more of B’s elopement accessories in our Colorado Spring/Summer 2023 magazine.

Two: Boots & I Dos

Stacie & Slater kissed out in Ketchum, Idaho – hosting a very personal wedding day on Slater’s family ranch. They even had a mechanical bull on the property during reception, so of course the pair had to wear cowboy boots to fit the event!  What better time than your wedding day to invest in Lucchese boots, especially ones as cute as Stacie’s embroidered white bridal boots!  Catch more of their cowboy vibes in our Idaho 2023 issue.

Three: Vowing to Love these Gloves

We are obsessed with these “vow” gloves that Biljana added to her bridal look on her & Marko’s BC wedding day. “To Have & To Hold, To Love & To Cherish” were reminders written right at her fingertips, adding both sentiment and style.  View more of the fashionable vibes from B&M’s Vancouver wedding in our Canada Spring/Summer 2023 magazine.

Four: Double Shoe Trouble

Rebecca rocked her bridal accessories, and she had two chances to do so with two very different (yet equally gorgeous) pairs of shoes on her big day.  The acrylic heels from Amina Mauddi are to die for, and R’s draping pearl veil from Everly Bridal makes her late night look even sexier somehow.  See more of her stylish accessories in our Canada Fall/Winter 2023 magazine

Five: Gorgeous Gorgeous Gloves

We just love these dainty little mesh gloves from a Jackson styled shoot – we don’t see short gloves often!  The pearl detail at the wrist adds so much with so little, and we adore how the bride wore her unique yet timeless ring over top.  These statement accessories added the perfect touch to an already polished yet unmistakably cool look.  See more shots from this styled shoot in our Wyoming 2023 issue.

Six: Desert Details

Photographer Kayla Bertagnolli planned the perfect desert styled shoot in Zion – all the way down to the accessories.  The Fraulien boots looked great on the bride, but they also looked incredible for detail shots with a gorgeous bouquet from By Bloomers inside,  See more of these stunning, gold-details boots in our Utah Fall/Winter magazine.

Seven: She Said Yes (In Style)

Kloee took chic to a whole new level for her engagement photos with Philip.  She was ahead of the “Coquette” trend, with bows trailing down the bodice of her stunning, fitted For Love & Lemons mini.  The dress came accessorized by a jaw-dropping cape, but she didn’t stop there.  Kloee completed her look with a chunky beaded choker from Anthropologie, and adorable ruffle socks to go with her pointed stilettos from Mango.  Get more inspo from this look we were obsessed with this year in our Utah Fall/Winter 2023 issue.

Eight: Say I *Choo*

These Jimmy Choos might literally be THE cutest shoes.  Elly elevated her entire bridal look with these pearl covered, open toed, chunky bridal heels when she walked down the aisle to her groom Mark on their Canadian wedding day.

Nine: American West Accessories

Katarina & Jordan had a hot summertime wedding Dunton Hot Springs, made hotter by their American-west inspired accessories.  Kat donned Vintage Native American turquoise jewelry which popped beautifully against her white dress.  The couple lives a western lifestyle, and the hats, bolo ties, and boots worn on the day helped them stay true to themselves and their home.  See more of their western wear in our Colorado Spring/Summer 2023 issue.

Ten: Cape in Colorado

Victoria’s cape is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and we mean that in the best way possible.  We knew it would make our favorites list as soon as we saw her wearing it in beautiful Breckenridge, with its whimsical sleeves and embroidered details.  Catch more of V’s cape in our Colorado Fall/Winter 2023 magazine.

Eleven: Pearls for the Girls

Madeline’s funky, acrylic heels were the perfect statement piece to add to her delicate look.  She sported dainty jewelry and pearl studded sleeves, but our favorite “accessory” of hers were the little pearl hair gems she had throughout her slicked back updo.  See more of her sweet & studded look in our Canada Fall/Winter 2023 magazine.

Twelve: All Out Accessories for an Elopement

Madison & Jonathan eloped in Montana, but this bride did not skimp on her style even though it was an intimate event!  We adore her pearl studded hair bow, her see-through mesh gloves, and sentimental embroidered statement veil.  Madison brought three different pairs of shoes for the big day, and we can’t say we blame her!  Her final change into comfortable converse and personalized bridal sunglasses gave “effortless cool girl” as she climbed into the just-married getaway Jeep.  You can see more accessories from her look(s) on their full wedding day blog, or on our Montana 2023 issue.

Thirteen: Lovely Lace

Mo and Joe had a magical Montana wedding, and Mo wore a majestic veil to match.   The lace appliqué was both timeless and eye catching, and added an extra ere of elegance to her satin sweetheart gown.  See more of this list-topping veil online in our Winter Wedding Guide.

Fourteen: If the Shoe Fits (our favorites list!)

Heidi hit our top 2023 accessories list with her sweet & short Loeffler Randall heels (a current cult-favorite). This bride took Telluride by storm with too-cute shoes!  Flip through our Colorado Fall/Winter 2023 issue for more fashion-forward inspo.

Fifteen: History & Heirloom

We loved Natasha and her gorgeous jewelry so much that she made our cover page of Canada Fall/Winter this year!  She was adorned with her grandmother’s jewelry, a collection of pieces steeped in history and sentiment, and wore a treasured heirloom for her nose ring, which was passed down from her mother’s wedding.  Nothing is more important than family, so that alone would be enough for these accessories to land on our favorites list!

Sixteen: Simply Southwestern

We have a lot of Rocky Mountain couples who want to embrace to southwestern style on their wedding day, and traditional turquoise jewelry is one of the best ways to do so. Santa Fe based artisan jewelers Peyote Bird provided some gorgeous pieces for a styled shoot this year, and you can get some more inspo from them online in our New Mexico 2023 issue.

Seventeen: Satin Style

Scott & Rachelle said “I Do” in the summertime in Alberta, and her modern, artistic cape caught our attention. The satin number with its asymmetrical line added so much style to this already stylish look.  See more of it here on S&R’s full wedding day blog post.

Eighteen: *Kicking* it ‘Til Death

Taylor & Jarrod tied to knot in Downtown Denver, and Taylor showed off just how cool she is with some bridal streetwear for her city wedding.  We love these custom converse with simple embroidery and a “til death” detail!   Get a closer look on T&J’s wedding day blog post here.

Nineteen: Rocking it in Crocs

We’ll admit it – we love these bridal Crocs!  Kyndal showed off her personality with a funny change into her white Crocs, which even had some of her favorite charms on them.  Why not dance the night away in your favorite comfy shoes?!  See Kyndal & Stephen’s whole British Columbia wedding day here.

Twenty: Modern Maximalism

Morgan’s va-va-voom veil from Jane Rhyan made our list immediately – with its adorable bow-covered, tiered look.  Her boots added a little more edge, with stars and lightning bolts showing her personality, and she even donned pretty little flowers in her hair adding even more texture and dimension.  A more maximalist look will always make us swoon! See more of these awesome accessories from Morgan & Kenan’s Salt Lake celebration in our Utah Spring/Summer 2023 magazine.

Twenty-Three: Diamonds & Pearls

Preet put her all into her bridal look, and we are obsessed with the sparkly, bow-topped pointed heels she wore that stood out through the slit in her ruffled gown.  The pearl studded veil brought even more oomph to her already fabulous fit.  Find more fashion inspo from these fav accessories in our Canada Spring/Summer 2023 issue.
