“How They Met”

Kyle and I originally met in Middle School. We were merely acquaintances for our high school careers but became close friends our freshman and sophomore years at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. We spent a lot of time studying together on weeknights and hanging out on weekends. As it goes, we grew apart in junior and senior year but always considered each other a friend. Shortly after college, Kyle moved to San Francisco. We kept in touch via text and FaceTime and while we didn’t say it, it became evident that there was something more to our friendship. After 4 months of Kyle living out of state, I went to visit. It was clear that we liked one another but being states apart, the timing wasn’t right. Kyle eventually moved back to Denver and in early 2017 we began dating. Our relationship has truly been an extension of our friendship and I am forever grateful that I get to become his wife in November 2020.
