Savannah wanted to photograph their engagement session in Aspen with little snippets of the twists and turns along the way. Ryan proposed to Savannah in Aspen on an overnight getaway. So naturally, Aspen held a special place to them and wanted part of their love story photographed there. I met with Ryan and Savannah in Colorado Springs and we started making our way to Aspen. We stopped at Twin Lakes, then Aspen for the night and the Continental Divide on the way back to Springs. You learn a lot about couples this way. Spending quality time and seeing what’s important to them makes it more than just a pretty view and cinematic wind. It’s dreamy all around.

Proposal Story
Ryan told me to pack my bag and that he was taking me somewhere for the night. I was tired and didn’t feel like going anywhere, but I packed my bag and we started driving. He rented a place for the night and we went outside to look at the stars. He got down on one knee and proposed. It was totally unexpected and perfect.
