This couple embodies everything about the Rocky Mountains. They are obsessed with nature and seeing the world (we shot their session in the middle of the mountains) and they have a unique, one of a kind style.

Oskar and Karolina are two of the top professional ballroom dancers in the entire world. In 2019 when they competed at the largest and most prestigious competition in the world they placed 2nd (ranking above couples from every other country in the world). Oskar and Karolina chose to capture their engagements in the beautiful mountains of Utah because of their love for nature, hiking, and beautiful landscapes with their two dogs, Chewy and Max. From our first emails between each other Oskar and Karolina knew their engagements needed to bring together the two different pieces in their life – the formal black tie side of their professional careers and the adventurous and nature filled piece of their favorite hobbies. Every summer they spend hours hiking around the mountains of Sundance, so that is exactly where we chose to shoot their session.

Oskar and Karolina were vacationing at Lake Powell when, while they were out boating, they hopped off the boat at a small rock formation when Oskar suggested it. A few minutes later Oskar completely blindsided Karolina by pulling the ring out of his swim shorts and popping the question in the middle of the mountains.
